Secret Treasures originated from my love of arts and craft. I am Cindy Powell, an Auckland based artist who is passionate about creating unique pieces of artwork. I find masquerade masks a satisfying medium where I can really express my flair for colour, texture and embellishments to achieve optimum results. I am inspired by themes and love the challenge of creating a mask to compliment your outfit and bring out the best features to enhance your choices. My styles depict female (feminine) male (masculine) and couples (romantic) and also include fancy dress, theme parties, balls, corporate and coming of age parties. Designs are exotic, mystique, mardi gras, theatrical, carnival, harlequin, gypsy, butterfly, oriental and many more.
I also specialise in special occasion headwear and fascinators which are all original and handmade. Headwear can be based on any themes, whether flamboyant or subtle.
I have created a number of masks as wall art for clients and enjoy using natural resources to match the interiors - I enjoy working on designs to incorporate your taste and style.
